About this Album

Accidents of Light is a five-song EP about desire, danger, self-deception, uncertainty, and the brief moments when everything suddenly comes into focus.

Across the record, Scarlet Wyman moves from swagger and appetite through vulnerability, moral ambiguity, and finally a kind of fragile clarity. The songs are deliberately varied in style and tone, but they belong to the same emotional world: people wanting things they don’t fully understand, making mistakes in the dark, and occasionally stumbling into something beautiful.

Accidents of Light is the first complete release from Scarlet Wyman.

“Accidents of Light is about the moments when you think you know exactly what you’re doing, right up until you don’t. It’s about wanting the wrong thing, wanting the right thing for the wrong reasons, feeling dangerous, feeling afraid, and finding something beautiful in places you weren’t looking for it.
These five songs don’t all sound the same, because neither do those moments.” — Scarlet Wyman
