Whatsa was a New York City based project comprised of trumpeter Todd Horton and saxophonist Hans Teuber (former Ani Difranco horn section), Spin Doctors drummer Aaron Comess, bassist Mamadou Ba, guitarist Teddy Kumpel and keyboardist Pat Daugherty. Rooted in Jazz, Funk, Rock and African Music, their music is an amalgam of styles with a strong improvisational element. This is powerful stuff.
